The task status options don't make much sense for our needs. It would be really nice if they could be customized on a per project basis like they are in Lighthouse.

When consulting the members profile at an specific project, it would be good to have access to the individual activity of the member within the project (just filtering by member). This is very good to know the dedication of each member to an specific project.

Your best option today is to stick with Teambox 3 or go online with Teambox 4

There really is no good reason for comments to be treated differently from page text sections, and yet you can edit the latter indefinitely but not the former. That makes it really annoying when you use Conversations for stuff that doesn’t need to live on with great prominence, and have an update on something you recorded (in a comment) later than 15 minutes after you initially wrote it. More pertinently, there is just no good reason to limit editing at all. None*. All you need to do is make it easy for someone to see that the comment was edited, and if it was somehow suspicious, how it was edited. E.g. track the diffs of a comment edit in a history table. (* Not wanting to do the code work required to implement a proper history is not a good reason. Not having the time/priority for it may be a *valid* reason, but it's still not a *good* reason :-))

Projects often require conversations with people/org.'s outside the team. Tracking these conversations, and allowing other team members access to contact info w/o having to search in messages etc. would make TB the suite to beat, IMO.

I can't help but agree with 100% of the KuraFire's sentiment here. If you want to enforce posterity, just do what everyone else does and keep a history. There is no sound reason to disallow modifications to comments if you have the previous revisions to fall back on. It just feels like a sloppy design decision to me. I tried to explain it to a coworker this morning and quickly ran out of ways to explain and defend your logic.

Also, if you or an external employee are using task comments or "conversations" to agree to contract terms, then you stand to have much larger problems than someone editing a comment. I'd say at the point that someone would attempt to maliciously alter comments in order to change agreements, a TeamBox locked comment page is not the line of protection needed. What happened to people signing contracts when they needed contractual obligations?

You can't be everything to everyone, TeamBox. It just seems like your people are letting you know here that they disapprove of this way of dealing with the (potential) problem.

Similar to how other web apps offer an offline mode, it would be of great interest to me if Teambox was available in an offline mode. This also means that in the unlikely event that I am without internet, or your service is down that I can still work in my Teambox tasks, etc. without worry. Changes could be logged while offline and then synchronised with the server when back online. I have seen the iPhone/iPad suggestion for an offline mode, but I think this would be better implemented as a lower level feature across the applications architecture.

Add support for lightweight hashtags (like Twitter). These could be entered in any text context and allow loose coupling of tasks, conversations, etc... The tags could be hyperlinked for search and the sidebar could have a list of common tags that could be dragged into place for easy allocation (like GMail Labels). At the very least, the Task filter should be able to search for tags in the task comments, not just search the task titles (which is the current functionality) This feature would enable a large number of use cases without being prescriptive.

There is this problem it can sometimes cause things to get very complicated. It would be great if you could make it also backwards and unite and move tasklists, projects and even organizations. This kind of cleaning process would be purifying for some projects. I think this could be made quite easily, if task list, project and organization data would be portable in xml-format for example. This would also make it possible to build exporting features to move project datas from other management softwares to Teambox and other way.

In discussions threads I can 'tab' from the dialogue box to the following drop-down boxes: "New" , "Unassigned" and then when I hit enter it activates the "Preview" button. Please, please give us a way to keyboard activate the "Save" button. (so we don't have to use the mouse to click the button) If we can use our keyboard to get all the way to the "Preview" button, why not the "Save" button. For those of us who have a lot of ongoing discussions, being able to enter comments with a keyboard shortcut instead of having to click the 'Save' button with a mouse would be very very welcome

The "My Tasks" link does not show all of my tasks. In fact, it leaves out the most important ones -- the ones that are either due today, or past due. This is very bad. "My Tasks" should list exactly what it says, all of my tasks, in chronological order of due date. "Due Today" can continue to list the subgroup of those due today or past due, but I want to simply see all of my tasks in order of due date.

Can we please not close and lose my comment changes on a task when I click for formatting help? I just lost 30 minutes of work because I wanted to look up how to format headings. Also, rather than just comments on tasks that can't be edited after 15 minutes, maybe a "notes" section could be helpful? Make it only editable by the original poster or an admin maybe so that it's not abused? This way you have a space on a task to specify clean, defined or even summarised notes on a task rather than a plethora of comments to sift through.

We just pushed an update to remember the text you type wherever you are. Please test it a little to be familiar with it, but it should be pretty transparent: If you leave a page without submitting the text, you will find it there next time you click on that text area.

This is only supported in modern browsers, like Chrome or recent versions of Firefox and IE.

Sometimes you need to put a gantt chart in front of staff or bossess who are not too eagar to follow it online. So a print friendly download on pdf / excel would be great.

Hi all -- just signed up for the free trial to test this out for my 15 users.. And the request is the same.. with the other >200 votes. Please do like what teamgantt.com did on the gantt chart; multi-colored, subtask, inline editing, inline drag/drop/dependencues/multi-groups... with these and the colloborative features of teambox -- would make this stand out above everyone else.
