Full task comment editing back and remove 15 min edit limit
As of today we can no more edit comments, except text and not even this if task is 15 minutes old. I find this unacceptable, because previously I was able to add attachments and work hours. Sometimes I needed to edit text, because I forgot something. Now github integration is also broken, because I can no longer add work hours.
Update: Editing comments is working normally now. At the moment file editing is not supported.
You can change the 15 minute default setting in Manage Organizations/Your Organization/General and Security Settings.

Yes, plus one on this. Often we need to back and amend things, and 15 minutes is not enough. It's not always great to start a new comment when all we need to do is fix something.

Still in Conversations I can only edit text after I have posted. One of our developers wanted to add/change attachments.

I use the comments section as a subtask list, and as such, I'd like to see the ability to edit a due date (as defined in the original comment/task add), and with the ability to have checkboxes for completed subtasks.

Hey guys, at this moment editing your own comments is possible (with an *optional* restriction to 15 minutes, which you can disable). Are you also looking for the possibility of editing other people's comments? I don't believe that was possible before, but we can consider it.
Some answers:
- To allow users to edit their comments anytime, go to Manage Organizations, select your org and check the setting "Allow comments to be edited and deleted 15 minutes after posting".
- We are working to reimplement time tracking edition.
- We will not allow editing the status of comments, because this can lead to difficult situations. -

Todd,
Unfortunately that doesn't work for everyone. That sounds more like a personal preference and something that you just need to train your team to do. We use comments for all kinds of stuff (especially the first comment) including lists of subtasks that we use the checkbox emoji (and we used to edit the top comment as things got done, hence the major break in our workflow with the disabling of editing). -

Any chance we'll be getting editing back soon? This has really caused our workflow to break.

I think comment longer than 5 line are dangerous. Please do not extend this feature. Comments should always be 300 words or less. If the need more lengthen than that they attach a document or create a conversation within the project.

I immediately missed the edit feature. As Petri, I trust my team and team members use the edit frequently to edit the top comment which has all the additional information needed for the task instead of making the team wade through a long list of comments collecting tidbits here and there.

Also I don't think 15 min limitation does any good for us. We trust our team.

At least my own. Preferably everybodys. Optimal solution would be if work hours could be logged with git commit using some syntax. Now I cannot log work hours because only text can be edited.

Can you please describe which cases work and which ones you need?
- Do you want to edit your own comments, of everybody's comments?
- Are you trying to log hours for a github comment?
- EtcThe more details, the faster and better we can solve your issue. Thanks!
